This session focuses on heterogeneously/homogeneously catalyzed reactions in bulk condensed media (aqueous or non-aqueous). Potential topics include (but are not limited to) catalyst stability in liquids; solvent effects; thermodynamics and kinetics in condensed media; first-principles modeling of reactions in condensed phase, and application-driven research in production of fuels or chemicals from conventional or alternative resources.
