Abstract

Particles in the rotating flow are simulated using Eulerian-Lagrangian two-phase simulation framework. Typically the particles in the rotating flow field will deviate the flow path of the vortex due to the inertia of the particles. The mechanism is often seen in the centrifugal separator. In the research, the particles flows are simulated in the Taylor green flow and the rotatory reactors, where the particle-wall interactions, particle-particle interactions and particle-fluid interactions are considered.
