(483b) 23 Years of Adsorption and Ion Exchange: Lessons Learned

The intent of this talk is to impart useful knowledge, tips, tricks, and identify potential pitfalls that have been assembled after spending the last 23 years as a corporate specialist in the area of sorptive separations. These are lessons learned developing, troubleshooting, optimizing and scaling up a myriad of adsorption processes, both liquid phase and vapor phase, across a very wide range of chemistries. While this presentation will focus primarily on liquid phase separations, often the principles and learnings apply to both liquid and vapor phase systems. Some (sanitized) real life examples will be presented.
