(301e) Deduster® : The Leading Dust and Streamer Removal System

During dilute phase conveying of granulated plastic material, high velocity and friction leads to the generation of dust and streamers. Dust and streamers if not separated prior to downstream processing leads to defects in final products. A Pelletron DeDuster® is designed specifically for plastics granulated material and can remove short and long streamers and electrostatically charged dust from the pellets in a single step. In this work LDPE material containing dust and streamer was used to evaluate the separation performance of DeDuster®.
