Thermodynamics and beer often solicit opposite responses from students. The topic of thermodynamics is often described by various words that are not very flattering; beer is almost universally accepted. The internet is filled with various “I hate thermodynamics” websites and threads protesting this particular subject. However, thermodynamics can be exciting, powerful, revealing, interesting and…fun! Just like beer. In this session we have identified educators who have ideas and demonstrations to make thermodynamics and beer fun subjects for faculty to teach and for students to learn.
