Introductory Remarks: R. Pfeffer

Solving complex plant problems is an everyday exercise that affects all projects and budgets, and it is very rarely introduced to students at any level. In fact, by the time young engineers are few years into working in industry, most have lost the engineering skills that they developed in school. We hope to encourage future engineers to retain those skills and learn the importance of plant problem-solving.
