Hydrogen is a promising energy carrier for the replacement of fossil fuels. The hydrogen cycle in the sustainable energy system involves four important reactions, namely, oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR), oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Our research emphasizes the catalysts for these key reactions. Here, we introduce a "model surface - nano verification - catalyst design" research system for discovery and production of advanced nanomaterials for sustainable energy and fuel.
