The traditional epoxy conductive adhesive has many disadvantages in some aspects, such as poor dispersibility in the epoxy matrix, weak interfacial interaction, high conductivity thresholds and thin adhesive strength. Therefore, multifunctional and high-performance conductive adhesive is required urgently. In this work, the multifunctional epoxy conductive adhesive filled with a kind of filler composed of nano-silver and carbon. The polydopamine was introduced on the surface of carbon structure to improve the dispersibility of carbon materials within epoxy matrix and the interfacial interaction between nanofillers and epoxy matrix. The nano-silver was used to further increase the conductivity of epoxy adhesives. The improved adhesive property, conductivity and mechanical property of epoxy conductive adhesive was obtained due to the isolated structure which forms a bridge to transfer the charge carrier efficiently. The adhesive strength of this adhesive was enhanced compared with that of pure epoxy. The conductivity thresholds of this adhesive were decreased in comparison with the inorganic metal filler.
