Nowadays, the wide application of dyes and pharmaceutical personal cares products arouses increasing concerns about their potential adverse impacts to both environment and human beings. In this study, a new carbon-based electrode was developed by graphene oxide and carbon nanotube and used in Electro-fenton reaction for the effective degradation of Methyl Blue (MB) and Chloramphenicol (CP). Several ecxperimental parameters including oxygen flow rate, solution pH and current density were systematically investihated in terms of the production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Results showed that the electrode can work well in a wide pH range of 5- 9, which is favorable for the practice application. The conversion rate of hydroxyl radical from the generated H2O2 and the relative degradation efficiency were investigated under the different current density. The role of different components in the developed electrode was also compared to understand the degradation mechanism. The removal efficiency of MB and CP can respectively reach abount 80% and 95% in the filtration mode.
