Distributed model predictive control has witness renewed interest  as a control techniques capable of inheriting the characteristics of centralised predictive control. The aim of this paper is to present a model based design approach to design and implement in a hydrogen standalone combined cooling heat and power system(HSCCHP) for a distributed generation system in a remote island. The challenges with the (HSCCHP) disturbance input to the system characterised with uncertainty. Wind power fluctuates within minutes whilst solar and river-hydro power fluctuates on longer terms, hours and days respectively.  The model based predictive control schemes is robust in tracking the uncertainty that characterised the (HSCCHP).
