Reproducibility Using the Amersham™ WB System

The Amersham WB system is an integrated system for SDS PAGE and Western blotting based on fluorescent detection. The system is composed of proven technology and reagents. The workflow is standardized in every step from sample application to evaluation of results to minimize user to user variation. The separation, transfer, probing and detection has been carefully optimized to obtain high signal to noise with high consistency. The system was designed to produce reliable, quantitative and reproducible results every time. Results are presented for SDS PAGE and Western blotting showing high reproducibility within or between gels/membranes for different users, both experienced and first time users.
