(6br) Controlling the Electronic Properties of Surfaces and Interfaces for Energy Applications

The goal of my research is to develop nanostructured materials for energy conversion in which to investigate the fundamental surface and interface interactions.  This poster gives an overview of my past and current research efforts on the design and development of nanostructured materials for various applications, including (i) fundamental research on ferroelectric perovskites for nanodevice applications; (ii) fundamental processing-structure-property relationships that govern organic-inorganic nano-interfaces for organic transistors and solar cells (iii)  materials synthesis of transition metal oxides for heterogeneous catalytic systems.  I will establish an interdisciplinary research program that lies at the interface of engineering, physics, and materials science.  My laboratory will study the fundamental properties of nanostructured materials and focus on developing model systems to design efficient and cost-effective materials for energy applications.
