Panel Discussion: Challenges in Validation of Computational Codes (DEM)

Appropriate validation of computational codes is a bane of process industry. The usefulness of results obtained from computational codes relies not only on systematic validation of basic assumptions, calculation methods and comparison with valid experimental data, but also on an understanding of how these validation efforts may be extrapolated to lend confidence in the modeling of new scenarios. Our invited panelists are experts from both industry and academia who have either led or participated in such efforts, and will be sharing their expertise with the audience
