Results are presented on hydraulic and mass transfer performance of sieve trays in an internally heat integrated concentric distillation column (HIDiC), with hetat transfer devices installed above the active area of annular striping section trays. Experiemnts were performed with and without heat transfer between inner rectification section and outer stripping sections, indicating that annular stripping section trays perform in such a situation similar to conventional single path cross flow trays.
