(278e) Immunology and Alex Bell

Authors

Chakraborty, A. K. - Presenter, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

I will describe how more than a decade of productive collaborations between Alex Bell and I arose.  All my work today is focused on immunology.  I will describe recent work that is an intersection of cell signaling and catalysis in complex reaction networks.  I will show that methods based on large deviation theory can obtain analytical estimates of the sensitivity of reaction rates and concentrations of reactions that determine reaction stability.
