(629aa) Catalytic Evaluation of La1-xSrxCr1-yMnyO3-ä In Propane Steam Reforming At Intermediate Temperature
In this study, a novel perovskite type anode of La1-xSrxCr1-yMnyO3-δ for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) operated under propane has been tested regarding its catalytic activity for propane steam reforming. Samples were synthesized by metal nitrate, citric acid and EDTA using the sol-gel method. Catalytic activity was studied were using fixed-bed quartz reactor and reaction product analyzed by GC. To evaluate the characteristics of physicochemical properties of catalysts, XRD, BET and H2-TPR were used. The highest performance was obtained using La0.9Sr0.1Cr0.6Mn0.4O3-δ catalysts of which propane conversion and H2 yield at 800 °C were 98.7 and 68.3% respectively. The long term stability of La0.9Sr0.1Cr0.6Mn0.4O3-δ catalyst was confirmed during 24 h of reaction time at 800 °C. Relatively stable activity obtained which propane conversion about 95% and H2 yield about 55%.
