(340a) Methanol Production From Syngas – Aspen Plus Simulation and Modeling

An Aspen Plus process simulation was developed for methanol production from syngas. The syngas composition from a wood gasifier was utilized for the design and simulation of the plant. Scope of the simulation includes material and energy balances, as well as economic considerations.  The simulation results offer useful references for equipment design and process optimization
