The hydrogen flowrate of a hydrogen fueling station changes as a function of the pressure difference between the station storage tank and the vehicle car tank, so we developed controls to adjust the opening of the valve between both tanks in order to regulate the hydrogen flowrate. In order to develop the controls for the valve, we have solved an optimization problem to find the optimum opening of the valve outputs a fast flowrate that will not make hydrogen rise its temperature to explosive limits.
