MEMS and Biosensors

Co-chair(s)

Hestekin, C. N., University of Arkansas

Research endeavors employing Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), Bio-MEMS and micro to nano scale biosensors have made substantial impact on diverse areas in medical diagnostics, genomics, proteomics and materials synthesis in the past two decades. This session invites presentations on both computational and experimental studies that address fundamental or practical challenges in these rapidly expanding areas. Submission of abstracts on MEMS and Bio-MEMS based high throughput screening, nanobiosensors for rapid monitoring of biological events, and novel microfluidic materials synthesis systems is strongly encouraged.
