(714d) Comparison of Probability Bound Analysis and Information Gap Methodologies for the Sustainability of Industrial Ecosystems

Sustainability is a vital issue for the long-term, healthy development of human society. Studies on sustainability frequently encounter various types of uncertainties. In this paper, the information gap approach and the probability bounds analysis approach are studied to gain sufficient understanding of their applicability and efficacy in solving uncertain problems in sustainable development. Computational experiments based on problems extracted from industrial ecosystems will be conducted to compare these approaches and generate guidelines for choosing appropriate approaches for handling uncertainty in sustainability. This work will be particularly valuable for tackling various sustainability problems under severe uncertainty.
