(656d) Key Green Engineering Research Areas of Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals - a Perspective From Manufacturers

In 2005, the ACS Green Chemistry Institute (GCI) and the global pharmaceutical corporations developed the ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable (ACS GCI PR) to encourage the integration of Green Chemistry and Green Engineering into the pharmaceutical industry.

The Roundtable has developed a list of key research areas in Green Chemistry in 2007 and now is followed by a list of key research areas in Green Engineering. This presentation will summarize the proposed key research Green Engineering research areas from the veiwpoint of the ACS GCI PR, provide an assessment of the current state of the art and highlight challenges and future perspectives.
