(227c) Technology Challenges for Sustainable Energy Solutions – Battelle’s Perspective

In this talk, I will introduce Battelle, providing credibility for our ability to summarize key technology challenges. Specifically, I will summarize the $1B of annual R&D energy projects that Battelle is involved with through the 6 DOE National Laboratories that we manage/co-manage. I will then translate the project portfolio into our viewpoint of key energy market drivers. I will conclude by identifying the significant technology challenges associated with the market needs in three business areas ? Renewable Energy, Carbon Management and Energy Infrastructure.
