Prof. LK Doraiswamy recently celebrated his 80th birthday and his students and former colleagues have organized this special session in his honor. Some of the significant achievements of his illustrious career include, Government of India’s Padma Bhushan award for scientific excellence, AIChE’s Richard H. Wilhelm Award (1990, 2002), Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science of the University of Salford (1982) and University of Wisconsin (1991).
