Fuel Cell Membranes II | AIChE

Fuel Cell Membranes II

Chair(s)

Fenton, J. M., University of Central Florida

This symposium will focus on materials and durability challenges in polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) membranes. The use of PEFCs in automobiles, distributed stationary power and portable applications in the electronics sector and for military use has been envisioned. However, for most applications, key membrane material related challenges remain. The objective of this symposium is to explore recent advances made in these areas. The organizers invite papers on the following topics: 1) Novel polymer electrolyte membranes for PEFCs and DMFCs; 2) membranes designed to operate at low relative humidities; 3) membrane durability under constant and cyclic loads
