Kinetics of combustion related processes involving detailed elementary reactions (bimolecular and unimolecular reactions), quantum chemistry based formulations of mechanisms involving radical chemistry. Major areas may include (but not limited to): high temperature systems of neat or blended fuels, analysis using CFD and kinetics (reduced or detailed), flame speed studies, flame suppression chemistry, soot formation, mechanism determination for oxidative pyrolysis systems and or key radical-molecule reactions, air emission mitigation technologies for combustion devices. Also appropriate: heterogeneous processes related to combustion or high-T partial oxidation or pyrolysis e.g. catalytic combustion, char formation, coal gasification.
