Microreactor engineering is more and more used to conduct processes in various fields of applications. Advantages are process intensification, increased safety, opening of new process windows, improved product quality, and improved costing - just to name a few. Advances in catalysis, particle making, and process control are presented. In particular, process and system engineering approaches are helpful as bridge to real-case applications.
