The near Infra ? Red technique has been used as a specialized technique in the analysis to determine either chemical or physical properties. Also it s been used in the monitory of structural changes during the chemical process. In compare to other traditional procedures, this technique requires small samples and the results are obtained instantly. The range of wavelength in NIR is from 800-2500 approximately. It can be very useful in probing bulk material with little or no sample preparation and verification of the product quality. The principal advantage of using this technique lies in the fast and simpleness of using it.

As we said before the typical applications of NIR technique include pharmaceutical and combustion research. In that particular area our research is focus on fossil fuel (Diesel) and pharmaceutical compound like Naproxen. In this research we perform a qualitative analysis for each compound. The use of Diesel and Biodiesel was to prove the technique effectiveness. Furthermore, Naproxen was included in the experimentation. After the analysis, we construct a calibration curve and it reaches linearity about 0.98. Finally, we continue with the next objective of this research.
