Relationship between heat transfer and heterogeneous chemical reactions in the biomass layer through the pyrolysis of wet woody biomass was investigated experimentally. The results obtained of pyrolysis showed that the average temperature in the biomass layer increases slowly compared with the rate of change of the set temperature.
