In this paper, we will describe the implementation of the CAPE-OPEN Thermodynamic and Physical Properties Interface version 1.1 within the process simulator, Aspen HYSYS. The implementation includes both the plug and the socket so that Aspen HYSYS can use any v1.1 compliant thermodynamic package in its simulation calculations. It can also export a v1.1-compliant thermodynamic package for use with any CAPE-OPEN Simulation Engine that supports this version of the thermodynamic interface.
Interoperability tests with other v1.1-compliant thermodynamic packages will be discussed.
