This presentation will focus on Smart Manufacturing Plants including their basic principles and applications. Smart Plants prevent problems before they occur. Examples of problems Smart Plants prevent include unplanned shutdowns serious equipment and process failures, unwanted safety events, and environemtnal emissions. Accurate real time plant data, obtained from critically important sensors and measurements are the foundation of the Smart Plant. In addition to establishing current plant performance, these data are used in models to PREDICT future plant performance and events so PROACTIVE actions can be taken to PREVENT problems before they occur.
