For drain from the small-scale wastewater sources, presently there is exhausted partly without doing primary wastewater treatment of the filtration etc., and then the countermeasures are hoped. In present work, some constituents were chosen from the organic compounds contained in drain of a certain type of such business establishments. Chosen constituents were p-hydroxybenzoic acid, sorbic acid and propylene glycol. Adsorption behavior was examined about those by batch and flow methods. As a result, p-hydroxybenzoic acid was adsorbed almost as same as sorbic acid, but propylene glycol was hardly adsorbed. When equilibrium concentration became high in p-hydroxybenzoic acid and sorbic acid, pattern of those adsorption isotherms showed a big difference. As for this, it is thought that the reason is because p-hydroxybenzoic acid is adsorbed and it formes monomolecular layer, whereas sorbic acid formes multiplayer. Then pH after equilibrium became lower than the initial pH in the vicinity where the amount adsorbed of sorbic acid suddenly increased.
