The short-time self-diffusion coefficient and the long-time mobility factor of colloids are calculated for a mixture of colloids and polymers confined in a cylindrical channel. The radius of the channel is such that colloids cannot pass each other, while polymers can pass each other and can pass the colloids. The approach is based on the many-body Smoluchowsky equation, in which the hydrodynamic interactions between colloids are taken into account at the pair level, and the Asakura-Oosawa model of interactions in colloid-polymer mixtures is used to obtain the colloidal pair correlations.
