As chemical engineering practice evolves the curriculum must be continuously updated. Creating new technical electives that cover emerging or growth areas of chemical engineering is a common strategy. Another strategy is finding ways of integrating topics from these new fields (e.g. bio, food, green engineering) into well established core courses (e.g. reactor design, separations, material balances). This session invites papers on using either or both of these strategies for keeping the curriculum in line with the goal of preparing students for modern chemical engineering practice.
