Interfacial Phenomena in Environmental Systems

Sundaram, S., Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
Yiacoumi, S., Georgia Institute of Technology

This session will deal with all aspects of interfacial phenomena that have applications in natural and engineered environmental systems. Examples of possible topics include: absorption of chemical species in gas/liquid systems, adsorption/desorption in gas/solid and solid/liquid systems, colloidal stability and aggregation of aquatic particles, transport and distribution in liquid/liquid systems, transformations of pollutants at interfaces, transformation of interfaces due to the presence of pollutants, and characterization of interfaces.
