This session will focus on advanced molecular-level manipulations and characterizations of interfaces as directed towards engineering specific properties into a system. Papers should provide detail on the strategies employed for tailoring surfaces and on the modes of interrogation, citing examples and comparisons between trials that worked well and less well that led to the final employed most effective strategy.
