Fires and explosions result in the largest losses in process safety accidents. The increased sensitivity by industry, regulatory, and public sectors to recent events as well as challenging market conditions has caused industry to scrutinize their existing approaches and develop balance between consequence and risk methods. Papers in this session will focus on the application of new techniques, evaluation of implementation, comparisons of methods, nuance of applications, etc. for both temporary and permanent facilities.
