Understanding the Importance of Mechanical Integrity Program

Mechanical Integrity is an important part of a Process Safety Management Program. Ensuring the initial and ongoing integrity of process equipment during the plant lifecycle is a fundamental component of successful process safety management. Nevertheless, developing and implementing successful integrity management programs, where identifying and prioritizing what equipment and instrumentation should be included, is a continuous challenge.

The goal of this presentation is to discuss the different aspects and strategies about Mechanical Integrity, identification and categorization of equipment, positive and negative program indicators, lessons learned and best practices based on PSRG global experience auditing this type of programs.
