(117ay) How You Manage the Actions Coming through Process Safety Management Systems?

Authors

For improving process safety in the plant, we are putting great afford managing task of operators. Alarm management is important for control operator’s tanks. Quantity of the alarms should not be more then control operator can manage.

However, there is gap in engineer’s tasks management. Workload of an engineer is an important parameter in complex plants. This workload can be rapidly increase with HSE related tasks. As a result of Management of Change, Incident investigations, ... most of the tasks are given to operations engineers, projects engineers, maintenance engineers.

If the workload is too high it is easy for the engineer to miss the important actions. With HSE Action Portal, we aim to give management a view of task load for each department. The department responsible can focus on the overall tasks of the department

HSE Action Portal make possible to reach actions and tasks coming through PSM system elements such as Management of Change, Pre-Start up safety review, incident/accident investigations and process hazard analysis in the same platform. Users are able to analyse their action/tasks in terms of number and completion percent. In this way, users are triggered to follow closely their actions and complete them in a correct way.

It is an useful tool also for top management in order to collect data and create statistics periodically. It can be seen actions/task situations for each refinery and department.
