(60bi) Wastewater Reuse and Treatment

Water conservation and recycling of used water is one the main targets of most industries. However, by recycling process water it creates an additional complication to wastewater treatment.

This is a case study form methanol plant in Beaumont, Texas, where they are recycling process water through the Demineralization system, after extensive effort with the process licensor, they realized that the neutralized CIP waste from Demineralization unit contains high TOC (Total Organic Carbon), which lead to increase the size of the waste water treatment unit.

In this presentation will discuss the source of contaminants, what are these contaminants, what was the possible solution ,and the final selected solution.
