Natural fibre composites including wood-plastic composites also well known as lingo-cellulosic biocomposites are attracting recent attractions in substituting glass-filled and mineral-filled composite materials in sustainable manufacturing. Biocomposites show immense attention in light-weight automotive parts and green building structures uses. This session encourages papers on composites from petro-based plastic resins such as polypropylene (PP), unsaturated polyester etc. as well as renewable resource-based plastics such as polylactide (PLA), biobased epoxy etc. and biofibre, biomass and biofiller (including bioethanol co-products like distillers`dried grains with solubles, DDGS; algal biomass etc.).
