Safety in ChE: How ChE Departments are Satisfying the AIChE Program Criteria

The Program Criteria provided by AIChE to ABET, Inc. associated with “chemical, biochemical, biomolecular and similarly named engineering programs” requires that curriculum must include “engineering applications of these sciences to the design, analysis and control of processes, including the hazards associated with these processes.” This session requests submissions from those programs that have developed effective processes to address these important safety concepts within their undergraduate program curricula to meet this aspect of the Program Criteria.
