Professor Keith Gubbins is currently the Worley H. Clark Distinguished University Professor Emeritus in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University. Through his prolific research career (with over 500 publications, over 45,000 citations) and seminal contributions in molecular theory and molecular simulation applied to molecular fluids, interfaces, nano- and micro-porous materials, he has pioneered the use of such techniques to solve outstanding problems of enduring chemical engineering interest (in particular phase equilibria and adsorption). This is a special session honoring his 85th birthday. Submission to this session is by invitation only.
