Frontiers in New Materials and Membranes for Bioseparations

This session will focus on theoretical principles, experimental advances, and practical considerations for scale-up that underlie the use of membranes and other innovative material based processes in the separation of biomolecules including filtration, extraction, chromatography, dialysis, nanoscale separations, cellular separations etc. We seek papers describing innovations and advances in membrane processes, materials synthesis and development, applications, modeling studies, and case studies of novel separation systems in a variety of industries including biopharmaceuticals, biotech, fine chemical, therapeutics, metrology and medical industries to improve recovery and reduce energy consumption.
