(167ac) Effect of Recycled Plastic Mixtures Blends with Coupling Agents Based Maleic Anhydride on Improving Mechanical Properties

About 400 million tons of plastic are produced annually, and the plastic production growth rate is higher than any other material. The amount of waste plastic generated has exceeded the waste disposal capacity, and environmental pollution has become serious. In general, waste plastics are more difficult to recycle. In addition, the physical properties are relatively low. Among them, mixed waste plastics is a material made by recycling film packaging materials, and various plastics such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) are mixed. Therefore, it is possible to increase the recycling rate of waste plastics by using various coupling agents based maleic anhydride compatibilizers. In this study, the various ratio of recycled polypropylene (rPP) and recycled polyethylene (rPE) was analyzed by FT-IR. Mechanical properties of recycled plastic mixture were tested by contents of maleic anhydride compatibilizers.
