Sessions in Biocatalysis and Biobased Products will focus on recent advances and cutting edge developments in the production of bio-based materials, biofuels, and biochemicals. Topics include, but are not limited to: engineering of enzymatic reactions and biosynthetic pathways; protein/nucleic acid/biopolymer materials and biochemicals; natural product discovery, characterization, and engineering; and new methods for efficient production and isolation of bioproducts. Topics that cover engineering of metabolic networks and/or primary metabolism are better suited in the Metabolic Engineering sections.
