Pharmaceutical manufacturing is not very precise. It is unrealistic to expect zero product defect rate. This presentation discusses limitations of current quality control practice for vaccines, the potential role of vaccine quality in vaccine adverse reactions, and an emerging analytical technology to enhance quality control for vaccines and other biologics.
