AIChE Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program creates a platform for student chapters to connect with AIChE's professional members. Students will meet an industry expert, who will "show you the ropes" of being a chemical engineer. This is a great opportunity for professional members to build relationships with future engineers and to strengthen the bonds between your local section and the student chapter.
Definition: An Ambassador is a professional AIChE member who is committed to making a difference in the lives of the future chemical engineers. They are practicing professionals who knows what it takes to enter the field of chemical engineering and sustain a successful career. Through volunteering their time, experiences and knowledge, they act as a distinguished resource to the student chapters.
The Program aims to match each inquiring student chapter to an ambassaor, ideally from a regional local section. Ambassadors will attend a student chapter meeting to:
- present a topic of interest to the students
- introduce the benefits of being an AIChE member
- answer any questions the students may have
