Many departments not listed here are in the process of name changes. Others see fit to maintain their original name and have 'bio-' concentrations or tracks or offer a biochemical degree within the Chemical Engieering Department. Some universities have separate departments in Biomedical or Biological Engineering.

If your university should be included in this list or if you would like to share your university's experience, please email bio@aiche.org.

While this collection highlights the evolution of chemical engineering through the incorporation of biological engineering, it is important to note that there is breadth of Chemical Engineering departments throughout the country. A list of all accredited undergraduate programs can be found at here.
