Plant Safety for Interns and New Engineers

Your first time in a plant can be a daunting experience.  There are so many hazards that exist, but there are also many, many safeguards to protect you.  Many of these are from design and construction.  Additional controls are put in from layout and instrumentation.  One important safeguard that you control is your knowledge and your situational awareness.  Applying your knowledge and training and ensuring that you understand and can act on that training can protect your health, your life and that of others around you.
