Earlier this year, the Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) organized its Sixth International Conference on Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (ICBN), which focused on bio-nanoscience and bioengineering for translational medicine. The conference brought together bioengineers and nanotechnology scientists in a collaborative environment at the Univ. of California, Berkeley. The program covered a wide range of topics, including semiconductor fabrication techniques for designing medicines, microengineered hydrogels for tissue regeneration, and nanoparticles for imaging and drug delivery.
